Healthy Workplace Outcomes

A key ingredient in any healthy workplace strategy is the ability to measure its success and the results gained over time.

Why measure the results of key strategies regularly?

The transformational culture change required to create a sustainable healthy workplace takes time - at a minimum three to five years; sometimes more. Examining your progress regularly helps you to:

For instance, after two years of implementing a healthy workplace strategy, evaluating the outcomes achieved to date (e.g. a downward trend in absenteeism, higher reporting of work-satisfaction, improved team functioning and productivity) may help identify which initiatives are working for your organization, and what changes need to be made to get better results. Identifying achievements regularly will also help build support for your healthy workplace strategy - not only from the decision-makers, but also from all other stakeholders within the organization, and fuel momentum to carry on with this endeavor.
